Kathryn Morris was born on January 28, 1969 in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a child, Kathryn traveled with her 6 siblings and parents as a gospel singing group called “Morris Code”. When they settled down, Kathryn and her family stayed in Windsor Locks. After attending Temple University in Philadelphia in the early 1990s, Kathryn Morris landed her first, but minor role in the 1991 made-for-TV movie “Long Road Home.” That same year, Morris co-starred with rapper Vanilla Ice in the film “Cool as Ice.” Since then, Morris appeared in several small roles, including a notable cameo as a psychiatric patient in the Oscar-winning film, “As Good as It gets.” However, it was only until she won the role of Lt. Annalisa Lindstrom in the TV series “Pensacola: Wings of Gold” in 1997 did Kathryn Morris became a household name.

In 1999, Morris appeared in several films, notably ones directed by Rod Lurie, such as the 1999 “Deterrence” and “The Contender” in 2000. Director Steven Spielberg saw her work in ‘The Contender’ and hired Morris for two successive films – “A.I.: Artificial Intelligence,” but the scenes where Morris played a rock star were cut, and “Minority Report,” wherein she played the wife of Tom Cruise’s character.

Morris has also starred in several theatrical productions, including “Crimes of the Heart,” “Lovers and Other Strangers,” “The Fantasticks,” “The Murder Room,” and “Waiting for Lefty.” Kathryn Morris has also appeared on numerous TV series, including “Silk Stalkings,” “Ink,” “Poltergeist: the Legacy,” “The Magnificent Seven,” “Providence,” “The Mind of the Married Man,” and “The Wright Stuff.” One of her most notable TV appearances is a short gig with the fantasy series, “Xena: Warrior Princess,” wherein she played the vulnerable villain Najara. In 2003, Kathryn finally won a lead role in a new CBS drama series called “Cold Case,” wherein she plays detective Lilly Rush who solves murders that are decades old.

Other credits of Kathryn Morris include “Role of a Lifetime,” “The Last Castle,” “Hell Swarm,” “Screenplay,” “Inherit the Wind,” “Inferno,” “The Prophecy II,” “The Prince,” “Sleepstalker,” “The Hire: Hostage,” and “Double Cross.” She has appeared in numerous made-for-TV films, such as “Rise and Walk: The Dennis Byrd Story,” “Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All,” “A Friend to Die For,” “W.E.I.R.D. World,” and “Family Values.”

Aside from her work on “Cold Case,” Kathryn Morris continued to appear on various films, such as the 2003 sci-fi movie “Paycheck,” the 2004 thriller flick “Mindhunters” and the 2007 drama film “Resurrecting the Champ.” In 2007, Kathryn Morris also participated in the ‘Toys for Tots’ charity held at the Pole Position Raceway.
